I have fireflies in KC galactic, DX galactic, and Nexus color Glow, and mix and match plastic depending on conditions, although I lean on the KC the most, all are similar stiffness. All are excellent for driving and putting. I hadn't every really tried a P2 but was talked in to giving them a shot and quickly fell in love with the depth and hand feel for putting. Of course I had to try them as throwers and they lived up to the hype there as well. (Nivå på anmelder: Nybegynner)
175g and 176g Nexus Firefly Cash money. During my putter buying phase, I tried it all. Beaded, beadless, popular, unpopular, glidey, not-glidey, understable, stable. I eventually took a serious liking to the P2. Felt a bit like my original putter, the DX Aviar. I think I like the deep putters. Anyway, I soon learned that many molds are the same/similar to the P2, so I ended up buying Alpacas, Warlocks, and something else that I'm forgetting. They are all gravy. But then the Nexus Firefly caught my attention. As a P2ish mold, I had to get it and I had to get the Nexus plastic that I had heard such good things about. I bought two sight unseen, disc unfelt. One for putting, one for throwing. I haven't looked back. This is the perfect putter. Grippy yet firm, grabs chains, durable, clean releases every time, throws great off the tee. Emulates my DX Aviar turnover shots perfectly when needed with a slight fade at the end. Holds up well in the wind even (and there's a TON of that in the high desert). Went into my recent tournament in extreme 30-40+ mph gusts thinking I'd have to putt with my Pigs or something. Nah, I stuck with what I was comfy with, the Firefly. Held up great. Won my division (MA2). There aren't enough good things to say about this Nexus Firefly (or Alpacas, P2s, and Warlocks). These are a spin putter's dream. I'm a tall drink of water with above average sized hands, so take that into consideration when buying. Not everyone likes the deep putters. But man, if you spin putt and like deep putters, give these a shot. I think you'll be pleased. And they glow! Haven't tried that out yet, but hey, that's another great feature. Sexton knows what's good. (Nivå på anmelder: Viderekommen)
I loved my Infinite Myth (and still highly recommend that disc), but I was looking for a putter that felt a little less beefy in the hand and finished with less fade. The Nexus Firefly ended up being that disc. Reminiscent of the Discmania P2s, the Nexus Firefly will give the player a good mix of a consistent and clean release while finishing with only a touch of fade. Also recommended in the Galactic DX plastic, as it is a bit more wind resistant (though less grippy) than the Nexus material. (Nivå på anmelder: Nybegynner)
The Nexus plastic is a total game changer! It feels tacky in cold/wet conditions without feeling gummy when it is warm. I honestly can't tell the difference between the P2. Alpaca, and Firefly as far as feel. The flight is straight enough to be a point and shoot putter within circle 1, but has enough stability to hold a flight into a light wind. It has enough glide to serve all of your go-to putting needs. The Firefly will be my go-to putter for a very long time! (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)
These Firefly's are rather deep putters, so if you have a smaller hand, it may be harder to find a good grip. Overall, a great disc with good glide, stability, and feel. The only major downfall I found with this putter was that it was pretty hard. I had a good amount of spitouts simply because they were stiff enough to where it would bounce right out. Now, off of the tee, they were fantastic. They flip to flat but do not turn over at all, and they like to have a nice soft fade at the end. If you are looking for something straight off of the teepad, try these out. If you like stiff putters to putt with, try these out. (Nivå på anmelder: Profesjonell)
