What does it mean that the image is labeled "Actual Disc"?

The "Actual Disc" mark indicates that it is our own image of the exact disc you will receive. There will therefore be NO variation in color shades or stamp.

All discs marked "Actual Disc" are also weighed by us with precision scales. Since manufacturers often have a larger margin of error on the scale, you may experience receiving a product that is marked with a different weight.

We group discs that have identical colour, stamp and weight together, so you may find that there is more than 1 in stock of a disc marked "Actual Disc".

What weight should I choose?

Short answer: Is there a difference of a couple of grams between the different variants? Then it doesn't matter much.

Long answer: In general, a lighter disc is often easier to throw for beginners, but is more affected by wind and can be perceived as less reliable. Furthermore, a lighter disc will "skip" forward less when it hits the ground. Experiment with different weights to discover the differences.

If you buy a disc under 170g, it is considered a "lightweight disc". It can be beneficial to experiment with lighter weights, especially for beginners and players who struggle to get up to speed on the disc.

Hades is your understable compliment to the overstable distance drivers, such as Zeus. It has plenty of glide and controllable fade, suitable for players who want to throw long and straight with hyzer flips or long turnover throws. It is also excellent for long rollers.

Recommended uses:

Hyzer flip
Long turnover throws

Big Z Plastic:

Z is Discraft's most hard-wearing and durable plastic, which means that the disc maintains its flying properties for a very long time. It is harder and slightly more overstable than ESP. Big Z is almost identical to Z, but is slightly softer and less transparent.

The hades is a touchy disc. The stock runs are more stable than prototypes, but even still, it was far flippier than I was expecting. Definitely a skill issue, but the amount of touch I have to throw this on to get a consistent hyzer flip or controlled turn is more than i'm comfortable with. (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)

A good distance driver for intermediate players looking for a potential max distance disc. In the Big Z plastic I found this to be more overstable than the flight numbers would indicate, with less turn in the early flight than comparable discs from other brands. The stamps are incredible and if you've got the power to be using 12 speeds regularly this would be a versatile tool in the bag. (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)

I have two Hades. A Proto and a stock ESP run. Wildly different discs. I no longer bag them, but when I did the proto was my flippy choice and the stock was my straight to moderately stable choice. If I gave the proto some air I'd definitely see the turn and could even hyzer flip it with my noodle arm(avg. distance 320ft). The stock was not going to turn unless I gave it some anhyzer. I expected this due to it being a 12-speed. I like to believe the Hades biggest issue is consistency between runs. It's not a bad disc. More of a luck of the draw kind of disc unless you're searching for specific runs that do specific things. (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)

The glide is not lying, this thing just floats. This has become my max distance disc. I have a little slower arm speed, and this thing is a perfect flex disc for me. I think this is a great distance driver for a beginner to buy after getting the basics down. (Nivå på anmelder: Nybegynner)

I might not have the arm speed to use this to its full potential (maybe the 175g affects that, too), but for others like me who might use this disk, this info may be more applicable: For me this has always been more stable than the numbers indicate, with a bit less glide, too. I have pulled it out as a replacement for other drivers because it was a little heavier and would handle the wind better. Normally a disc with -3 turn wouldn't be a good one for throwing into the wind (unless you want a roller), but for me, this has been a good disc for throwing long & straight into the wind. My son has used this as his favorite forehand disc and has gotten rather amazing distance with it -- probably as far as any of his backhands (or mine). The plastic feels good and has shown to be durable. (Nivå på anmelder: Middels)
